Quiet Case Fans

Hi,

I want to replace my 80mm Case fans and i was wondering if people had any idea of which ones are the quietest?

Thanks

Panaflos are about the quietest fans made. Or you can also get some adjustable speed fans and set them to your liking (a fanbus will also do this quite well).

Vantec Stealths are pretty quiet (at least mine is) and move a nice amount of air.

EDIT: Welcome to the forums Kaifire

I'll find out about the Panaflos later (see my thread about the bad ones I got), when I get a good batch, but the enermax thermal control fan is a good quiet one, as are the adjustable enermax fans on low. The Vantec Stealth fans aren't bad, but aren't as good as they claim. My 1-year cybercooler ball bearing fan is about as quite as the same size vantec stealth, and they push similar air...wasted money, IMO.
Another good option would the NMB ultra quiet fans. Several websites sell them and CHEAP. They don't push much air, but are quiet and reliable; Dell and other OEMs have used them off and on over the years. I wouldn't trust one on a heatsink, but for a case fan, sure. With a good path for airflow, the cheap NMBs are a great option, IMO.

Well, I think I paid $4 for my Stealth, I had a choice of cheap noise or silence in at least one part of my case.

OK, for $4, I'd buy it, too. Just that there are better when it's at $8-$10.

buy a fan speed controller and attach to the fans you have. slow them to whatever level of quietness you need. its a good option because you can crank it up when its needed.

I bought 10 NMB Ultra Quiet 80mm case fans, they're quiet and move a semi decent amount of air. i think its 23cfm with 19dBA

What about the YS-Tech Silent 80mm fans? Rated at 27CFM, 20dBa, so they are very quiet. Under a £5 as well.
I have 7 of them.
3 intakes. 2 exhausts, 1 as CPU fan on SLK-800 and one spare (i ordered too many! lol)
