Thanks to those who helped me quiet my fans, I did the 7V trick on my 2 80 intakes, my video cooler, the 60 outtake, and my Orb. I simply modified on connector to do 7V and then chained the fans together. Let me just tell you it is a HUGE difference.

As I'm typing right now with my case closed, my case temp is at about 29C and the CPU is at 26C. Are those decent temperatures? It is a Soyo BX board and a 550e oc to 733. I'm using the windbond software to monitor the temperatures. I haven't done anything real intensive yet, that will be next. :)

However, after quieting the fans, I realized that the real source of noise is my older Maxtor 5400 RPM drive. This thing sounds like a jet now compared to the rest of my computer. I thought that I read somewhere about a Silent-PC? enclosure for hard drives to quiet them down, but have not been able to find anything of the sort. Anyone know where I can find something like that?

As always info and links are welcomed.

I do not own a GeForce SDR, but I have read that they suck down a lot of power and get hot.

One way to quiet down a fan is to either do the 7 Volt trick or to use a rheostat available at CaseETC.

Or you can buy quieter fans like Papst or Adda
