Quiet and Cheap 120mm Fans

Where do you guys go to buy your quiet and cheap 120mm Fans?

SVC is getting too expensive.

Thanks.

Some of the quietest I've come across are used by OEM's I have a Hewlett Packard Kayak XU-800 (dual PIII's @ 866 MHz) which has a 120mm that I can't hear at all. It also has a built in heat sensor between the hard drives that turns on another fan 92mm which is extremely quiet as well.

May be an option to order one, these are high dollar systems which use top components beause they don't want to lose big corporate contracts. Just my take on things.

I find the 120m/m x 25m/m Enermax adjustable fans a great deal...Comes with the grill (gold) and a 3 to 4 pin adapter, RPM monitoring....And since they are adjustable you can easily adjust them to your noise tolerence...Unless you get the pink one they even look decent.

120m/m Adjustable Enermax fan.

I am sure they can be had for less if you look around.

Good fan in the 120 by 25 models...Way better than Vantec Stealth's...Now if you want 120 x 38's we are talking a whole different ball game.

The yellow wire off of a power supply molex connector is the 12 volt line with the red being the 5 volt line.

Just take the ground wire from the fan (usually black) and move it to the 5 volt line (red) and install it there.

12 volts minus 5 volts equals 7 volts.

Or google "7 volt fan mod"
