Quiet 60mm fan

How quiet? Are you going from a Delta 38 type, or from the above type fans.
I personally find even the 4000+ RPM fans too noisy when the room is quiet at home.

1. Try to undervolt your current fan (I like the fan mate 1). $5 at directron, $6 at SVC. Works great for any fan. I use it on a 60x10mm Delta, which goes from 4800 RPM to 2700 RPM (or less).

2. I'm currently waiting on a 60mm Panaflo L1BX (3200 RPM) from digikey.com.

3. I've used a sanyo denki 60x25mm M402 (2800 RPM, not rpm sensing) which was pretty quiet, but still had some motor noise.

4. Vantec makes a 60mm stealth (2600RPM) which I've not used.

Haven't seen any ultraquiet papst fans.
It all depends on what your noise tolerance is. Unless you have a delta, I'd try the fan mate. Furthermore, it can turn a quiet fan (e.g. those above) to a silent fan (at the cost of CFM, so monitor the temps).
