Quicktime has take over (and screwed up) my streaming audio!

Somebody sent me a link or file that required Quicktime and I installed it. Maybe a big mistake. I got to play the movie but now when I try to listen to streaming audio Quicktime opens instead of my previouw Winamp 2.80 (I think it was Winamp), and it sounds like S___. I tried messing with settings but it just sounds horrible and I want to stop Quicktime from trying to run that stuff. I couldn't find anthing in Quicktime for that, so I reinstalled Winamp but nothing's changed. Thanks for any ideas!
