Assuming that it accepted all mpeg formats (1,2,4), streaming transport mpegs, and could encode them into the new h.264 derivative, would you buy it....?

If that were the case, he'd be the first in line....that said, nero rencoder is proving to be really neat....

Vdub + avisynth is great, but GOD is it a pain

You do realize the non-pro version is free, right? You only pay if you want to encode, but decoding is completely free.

I think 90% of the people in this thread are missing the point that the OP wants to encode, not decode.

I already use quicktime alternative just to avoid installing that POS. I wont even use it when its free, i dont understand why they think people will pay for it.
