Running great for me..

Able to run so far.. 3 @ the same time without issue.. Pegs the CPU @ 100 though..

With just one I run arounf 45-55%

You need PRO..

I can run 3 720p feeds, and don't seem to have any lag.. But if I throw a 1080i in there..

Look out..

😛

BBC 720 runs fine.. I couldnt get the 1080 to even start downloading.. But I have had zero crashes as of yet..

Where can I get this? The only 1080p I found on Apple's site is the Serenity video.

Thanks!

The Batman Begins is 1080 as well..

I could never get a download link for this. I recently found in it in a.b.hdtv though.

Where can I get the BBC 720? The 1080p BBC lags so much, plays fine for 3 seconds then skips for 3 seconds then plays fine then skips, etc.

Hm, 1080p stuff is pretty hardcore! I get 12-13fps (I can't even see it all on my screen, running 17" LCD 1280x1024) with spikes up to 20 during explosions.

Cool stuff! Think it's just not optimized yet or is this 1080p really going to pwn our CPUs?

EDIT: I've only played the Serenity clip.

System specs:
Dell XPS Gen4 - 3.4GHz P4/HT on, 1GB RAM, GeForce 68000 PCI-Express, SB Audigy 2 ZS

How do you know what FPS you are getting?

The BBC 1080p video is taking a severe toll on my system, an Athlon64/3800Plus with 1GB PC3200 RAM & Geforce 6600GT PCIe.

Quicktime 7 Preview pegs the CPU at 100%. In native 1920x1080p resolution, I'm able to get about 15fps in bursts.
VideoLan 0.8.2-test1 also pegs the CPU at 100%. Even when setting the x264 codec settings to fastest, its barely able to spit out 1fps.

Remember, ATI's R520 will have built-in hardware decoding for H.264 content. According to Anand, it can bring down CPU usage to 30% or so.
