I recently built an Athlon system with the following specs...

AMD Athlon XP 1600+ Palomino
Epox 8RDA+
2x512MB of Kingston HyperX 2-2-2-5 PC2700

Now, I changed the bus speed to 333Mhz, so the chip is O/C'd to 2100+ speeds @ 333Mhz FSB.

I've had no problems (though I have not done any serious stress testing).

I had been playing Age of Mythology for about 4-5 hours when I got the first problem ever on this computer (1 month with no errors, proggy crashes, etc). The computer did a total reboot. You know what I mean...one second your playing, the next second...blip and the motherboard POST's and your system is rebooting.

Afterwards, went into the BIOS screen and checked temps.

CPU Temp: 52C
System Temp: (honestly, I thought I'd remember, but now I don't....grr....)

Anyway, this doesn't strike me as unusual....before I run my stress testing, just wondered if this was "normal".

Thanks!

So a total random reboot like that is a processor problem? for sure?

Just to clarify, the memory is rated at 2-2-2-5 but I actually hadn't changed it from the defaults which was 2-3-3-6.

So bump the vcore a little? I'm a n00b to o/c'ing. I got this board and processor from Insane3D and he'd had it at the same settings and cooler with no problems.

I'll post the current core/mem voltages when I get home from work.

Thanks for the help!!
