My once every other month foray into mass-produced junk.

This is the list I have to work with.

5 guys, because I like their fries and get them light salt.

I briefly considered going Wendy's, but in most instances I'd definitely go to Five Guys over Wendy's.

Five Guys, hands down. You really didn't feel like being productive for the rest of the day, did you?

Wendy's as a distant second if yours is good.
That's the issue isn't it? The counter/order system is clusterfuck at all of them, and you have a 50%-60% chance of getting decent food. That's why I never go to Wendys. If the food was always good, or the ordering never a clusterfuck, They'd be much higher on my option list.

BurgerKing always sucks. The convenient counter system doesn't even begin to make up for the shit food.

I liked the old days before Roy Rogers went mostly bye bye for the first time. We would order a cheeseburger and their once delicious fries, go to the fixen bars take the burger apart and put the bottom in the bag and fill the bag with fixins to the top mixed in with sprinkled french fries and then put the top bun on top.

I'm unaware of any difference in the ordering system between Wendy's and BK. I walk up to the counter, and say what food I want.

Wendy's for the spicy chicken sandwich. Five guys for burger. BK for fish sandwich. I voted Wendy's because that's actually what i picked up today because the grocery store is rearranging their freezer section today........

At Wendys you stand in a long line while a single counter person takes your order and fetches your food. You stand in a pile of other people while waiting for your food. It's not as much of an issue if you go on off hours, but going when other people want to eat sucks. It's a shit system that may have worked in 1950, but there's too many people for that now.

Have you tried living 10 min from home? Boy is it sweet to sit and eat lunch on my couch.

Also, BK is last on that list.

What does your BK do that's different than that?

I don't go to BK hardly ever, but they have more registers open, and the counter person only takes orders unless they aren't busy. At Wendys, if the counter person is gathering food, they aren't taking orders, and it backs the whole system up. They also only have one register.

Your's operates differently than then one near me apparently. off hours are actually slower. the person that takes orders does throw the food in the bag, but the sandwich people make the sandwich pretty quickly. During busy hours, they use two of them and sometimes two cashiers at the front. Moves fast. If i grab something after work though... that's apparently their off hours and they're slow. Having one person to make sandwiches doesn't work well.

Sounds like it's maybe just a local difference (not a Wendy's vs BK), I was at BK a couple weeks ago, two registers there but only one open, same guy that took my order gathered my food and gave it to me.

All of them stopped their app-war pricing, so I stopped going. The $1 single at Wendy's was awesome while it lasted.
