Quickie - do the forums have this feature?

Is there a way of getting some indication of which threads have new messages, since my last visit, or "mark as read" type functionality?
 
When you login, the folders on the left side should be blue for new posts to that thread since your last login. Threads that have not had any added posts should be yellow...

That's how I know new posts have been added to a thread...

Ah, I see. All my folders were blue, though. It seems if you have "remember my login" checked it doesn't work. When I explicitly logged out and back in, then they went yellow.
 
Yeah, that will happen sometimes. But I don't think it matters weather you are loged in automaticly or not. It also depends on what forum you are on too. For example, Off Topic has a high rate of posts so a lot of times it can just take 5 or 10 min to make all the threads blue. But for some of the others that are not as active you will see the difference.
