So after trying a few free personal finance apps and the trials of some others, I found most of them quite lacking in features.

I was thinking I would just bite the bullet and buy quicken because I know I can count on it to do everything I want.

I was curious if buying a used copy is feasible or if there would be a huge licensing/registration issue that might allow someone to gain access to online info and such.

I have a copy of Parallels that I don't use and figured I could save myself the money and offer a trade since they are similar in price. (shameless plug? :p )

Checked my /applications ... it's not on Leopard. Maybe if it's on my 10.4 disc I can still install it?

Quicken was a bundled 3rd party app for consumer models (iMac, iBook and probably mini too) prior to the Intel switch. It wouldn't be found on a Tiger disc.

Buying a used copy should be feasible; nobody really likes Quicken for Mac. Intuit was demo'ing a completely new finance app at MacWorld Expo in January, but no release date has been announced AFAIK.
