Intuit, in typical fashion, refuses to tell you what this will cost unless you go thru the entire application process.
Does anybody know what the cost of this service is? (USPS for same/similar service is $6.95/mo).
And no, Intuit won't respond to inquiries.

Thanks.

Ask your local bank or credit union about their online billpay.

My local credit union offers billpay for FREE, it's worth looking into.

Already tried that. Their home-made version might have been ok 4 years ago, but not now.
I'm just trying to find a better system than eUSPS, since neither they nor anybody else offers services I want, yet.

edit: WTF, now you're the Grand Nagus? Heh

Have you looked at any of the online banks such as NetBank? They offer free billpay.

Well, most of the billPay services are really thru CheckFree which is free to anybody, but you can only pay billers who have signed up and who pay CheckFree for that service.
But I also need the ability to send to anybody, not just a company signed up w/CheckFree. eUSPS allows you to schedule automatic payments, but for an individual they only send paper checks, not electronic xfrs.
And PayPal will not allow automatic scheduled payments to a private party. Nobody I know of provides this service, and I think there will be a demand for it, but the wanks who run these existing companies don't want to listen to anybody, or do not have a process in place for communication.

Example: You want to send money on regular basis to your kid in college. Sending a paper check is ok, but entails them physically taking it to the bank or atm and then waiting for 3 or more business days for it to clear. It would be so much easier to do a scheduled EFT to someone's account, and that could also eliminate transaction fees.

Same with gift cards or shopping cards. The only non-specific store cards are so hard and expensive to deal with, that I won't do it.
Again, someone is missing an opportunity to expand or create a new business providing this service.

My credit union offers it free to members with certain types of checking accounts but I believe the Quicken BillPay which uses CheckFree is 9.95, lately we have had people switching over due to the fact our BillPay for a basic account is only $5 a month for unlimited BillPay.

Thanks LinuxIdiot. Do you know what download method they use, qif or the newer web connect file (can't remember extension; ie AmEx uses the newer one). The newer one is easier to consolidate in Quicken.
