MONEY 2007 FTW. Honestly, Money is the one product MS puts out that actually kicks some serious ass. Quicken completely sucks in comparison.

I just bought money 2007 deluxe for like $39 yesterday:eek:

hope its as good as the old ones.

For the msot part, quicken works for business stuff because I can get aroudn the quirkyness, but money's suave and excellent data presentation won me over...

I've used the current (pre-2007) version of both products... and I absolutely *hate* MS Money. Quicken certainly has its faults, but I find it much better overall than Money.

The user interface, IIRC. It was really early this year when I tried it (gave it several days... disliked it from the beginning, and it didn't get any better). I think that it did everything I wanted it to do as far as functionality goes, but the way it did it just bothered me, and the UI just seemed too.... PlaySkool, as though I needed hand-holding through every step of the way, that everything had to be polished, etc. I prefer UIs that do not show a lot on screen at once, and just let me do whatever I want to do without making me use a wizard or go through some convoluted series of steps that I can accomplish far easier in an alternate program.

That's what I'm using right now... I haven't found any acceptable alternates out there.

I use it for business...I couldn't stand to have to use it for hoem use. That and the reviews for money always put it above quicken....

they removed a few features in money 2007 that i liked, namely syncing w/ pocketpc, and automatically adding bills to your budget. now i have to automatically enter in each bill i have to pay each month into my budget, which blows!

however, i still like it more than quicken...quicken didn't sync up with my bank accounts as easily as money did, and frequently threw errors. with quicken, setting up my citibank account was a PITA, while with money it was a cinch, and after frequent errors with quicken, it would stop syncing entirely, and i would have to go thru the setup again.

Interesting... I've never had a single issue with syncing w/ any of my accounts.

I think it was one of my USAA or other credit union accounts....
