The reviews for 2006 were very positive and the new features sounded like things I needed.
I have Quicken 2005 Premier and Quicken mailed me a very stingy $10 off upgrade.

IT WAS CHEAPER TO BUY A NEW COPY THAN TO UPGRADE WITH QUICKEN.
I was really annoyed by this, but Amazon really delivers.

Amazon had a $7 discount and a $20 rebate plus an additional $20 gift card promotion from Quicken to use at Amazon. They offer the same rebates on other versions of Quicken 2006.

$47 off for a new purchase vs. $10 off for an upgrade with Quicken. Stupid choice.

Yes, if you upgrade with Quicken you get to download Quicken Will Maker free. But, I already have that.

Note: You can fill out both the rebate forms on-line at Intuit Rebate Center. This is easier than filling out their forms by hand. And, they send you emails about the progress of the rebate. You need to print out the gift card form from Amazon so that you know the rebate offer code.

Have fun and read the fine print.

I have Quicken 2001 and Intuit decided not to support this product anymore. I recently had to reload this on my machine and can't perform the on-line upgrades (from the original CD). The reason I never upgraded is I didn't find any features that I actually used (checking) improved year after year.

What great features does this have and do you think its finally worth upgrading?

Thanks for any comments,

If you have a costco nearby I just picked up Quicken 2006 Deluxe for $30 ($50-$20 rebate). Seems like a great program, though I don't like all the built-in advertisements for their credit card.
