Quickbooks prices on ebay and amazon

What is the deal with Quickbooks prices online? On ebay, there are several versions for $150 and these are the 3 user version. But there are others that are the 2 user version for $500 or more.

This is the $150 version

What are the differences between these two? The reason I ask is somebody I know just bought Quickbooks from Amazon for almost $600. He bought the 2 user Premier 2014 version. I am trying to find out if he paid way to much for this program.
 
Quickbooks Premier 2014 single user license is $319 directly from Intuit (discounted from $399), so $600 for two licenses doesn't seem too far off.

The $150 auction says it is actually Quickbooks Accountant single user (not three user) which is $395 directly from Intuit. If something seems to be too good to be true, it probably is. Especially on eBay.
 
The $150 auction says you can install it on three computers. Is that different than the three user version? What is the difference? If you can install it on three computers, doesn't that mean three different users can use it?

It also says that the listed price is only for people who can prove that they are students, teachers, or school staff, which means it's not really even the full retail version but a "student" version.

It will probably still work just fine, but you need to prove you are a student/teacher, and only one person can use it at a time
