Quickbooks Point of Sale...

We have a customer with Quickbooks POS converting from DacEasy. It's all setup and working fine. There are two computers peer to peer. The office computer is win98, the register is XP Home. The POS software is on the register machine. Bar code scanners on both machines. Quickbooks Pro 2002 on both machines. I know with Quickbooks you can install the same software on two machines and access the file from both, as long as you are not in both of them at the same time. Is there a way to do this with QBPOS? I tried to install it on the office machine, and told the software where the file was, it won't pick it up. The data file is on the office machine (local). It will keep opening the sample data. I really don't want to spend another $700+ to make inventory adjustments on the office computer. I know this software is relatively new, but I figured I'd try here instead of spending $60 on phone support.
