Quick wiring question

Ok, I've got a 4-pin 12v 120mm fan, it has a 2 wire tail with red and black wires. Now I've got one of these. As you can see it has a yellow and a black wires. Can I just flip the wires in the fan so they line up with the yellow and black wires or will that damage it.

You should be able to snip one of the flanges off the fan connector and plug it directly up to the adapter without having to flip anything. 🙂

Black to Black, Red to Yellow

lol, after looking at it for a few I realized I had plugged the yellow and black wires in the connector on the wrong side. 😀

Red on fan goes to yellow on drive power connector (+12V), black from fan goes to any black wire (Gnd).
