Under START > Programs, how do I make it so that it doesn't condense my programs list to the ones I frequently use? I just want it to show all programs at all times.

Also, is there a shortcut or program that can allow me to turn my screen saver and power settings on and off quickly? I watch a lot of DVD's on my comp so that'd be helpful.

Thanks!

ok for the screensaver thing goto your desktop > right click > properties > screen saver> it should say wait you change that to the amount of time you want it to take for the screen saver to go off so you dont really need to turn it on and off

and are you useing the classic view for the start menu or the xp one because im pretty sure that the xp one doesnt condense the program list.

haha i know how to change the screen saver time, but thanks big foofie. what i meant was.. i want to be able to switch it quickly, like w/ a hotkey, or somehow if windows could automatically turn off screen saver when i'm watching dvd's. i hate having to change it back and forth all the time. i use powerdvd and i dont think thats an option.

and i'm using the classic view, so it keeps condensing it.

Doesn't PowerDVD automatically disable the screensaver when you watch movies? It does for me.

Big Foogie Man was correct about classic versus regular start menu.
I think the new XP menu system is much better. But to each his own.

Right-click on the task bar, select properties and you should see the "Task Bar and Start Menu Properties Box. Select the second tab ("Start Menu"). I assume your radio button is set to "Classic Start Menu".
Click the button to the right that says "Customize". At the bottom of the checkbox list is a box that says "Use Personalized Menus". UNcheck that box.

It also works the same under Microsoft Office, if you want to see all the menus all the time.
