i know this might be the wrong forum, but its not really an operating system question...

i have a totally white background and therefore the fonts under the icons are barely viewable...is there a way to change them to black rather then white with black outline?
 
you might try right clicking on my computer>advanced>performance options.
theres some stuff there.
im not sure if the answer is there, but it looks like it might be.
