I have the following surrounds, mine are a little over 4 years older:

Bestbuy has some Polk T15 bookshelfs on sale for $50 a pair:

Or I could just pay $200 and replace the whole system and add the new sub with the existing sub for 7.2 (receiver is an Onkyo HT-RC360)

Take a look at BIC's offerings on Amazon. They would be much better than the Polk and especially the Onkyo.

8" bookshelves, unless they are extremely high end, aren't going to sound good. They will have "bass" but will not be nearly as accurate as 6" drivers. 8" drivers for front speakers are unecessary in most home theaters.
