How'd you figure out the motherboard was the problem without opening the computer and voiding the warranty?

1)Opening the computer does not void the warranty (at least all the machines from small business).
2)Go to dell.com and punch in your service code, it will tell you the remaining warranty time.

How'd you make that assumption i even have a dell computer? I was trying to figure out standard issue warranty on motherboards for dell. I was on the phone with a tech from Alienware (god forbid) for an associate who had a Asus P4T533-C die 20 days after warranty ended. Trying to see what they could do for me.
