Quick Vid card question

Ok, have a a7v8x-x ASUS. 8x AGP

Have a Ti4200 64MB 4x card.

That should still work correct? backwards compatible?

Built a computer and having monitor/screen issues. Can't even see the boot screen or BIOS.

Is this correct?

It should work fine. Use another video card and then go into the BIOS and try setting the AGP speed to 4X.
