quick very simple question about transistors

i know that, but that aside, i need to find out what Vb should be in that circuit. I use regualr node voltage, but that seems wrong since i just get volatges that are oppiste of each other.I want to say this is in saturation, but i cannot prove it is not in active stae.

what i do not get is that since Vb is hooked to ground, why shouldn't it be 0? It is what i did for all my hw problems, and they came out right.
