Quick upgrade or new install?

I'm getting ready to go from windows me to xp but don't know if I should do a quick upgrade or new install. Was just wondering what everybodys opinion was.

yep, definitely a clean install...

the upgrade will leave too much junk and old files on your system making it much slower than a clean install...
