Got back yesterday from a quick 5-day (I guess 3 day given the travel time to get there) business trip. It's difficult to express how awesome this city is (assuming you're a Caucasian well-to-do man - I'm assuming it's a different experience for the poor Bangladeshi workers who build everything, lesbians, Jews, etc.). The city puts us to shame in the USA. Can't wait to go back (probably in January) for a longer trip - in the meantime, here are a few crappy photos of the trip taken from my phone. Baller style.

First class on the Emirates A380 out of JFK. Top notch airport lounge and the seat is a nice private pod. Service on this flight was amazing.

First class cabin on the A380.

Cool feature where you can watch multiple outside cameras as you takeoff.

Shower @ 38,000 feet - no pictures of naked Jeeebus (sorry).

A little more space than your typical airplane bathroom. Heated floors are a nice touch too.

Slumming it. Many bottles of Dom were consumed on this flight.

Some play time in the desert. They call it "dune bashing" - it's basically mudding in the dunes. A lot of fun.

A camp in the desert. Very touristy - we didn't stop.

Dinner at Prime 68 on our last night. We sat next to a group of American lawyers. They were loud/annoying. Everyone else we met on our trip was quiet/respectful (except for the insane drivers), so it basically proved all the American stereotypes overseas.
The trip home was a bit of a rude awakening. We flew business class Emirates on a 777 to Newark, NJ and then JetBlue back to Florida. Suffice to say, Newark is no Dubai and JetBlue is no Emirates. Great trip nonetheless.
