Hi guys

Is there a trick to let more than 10 people to share the same folder in the old Windows Vista machine? I need this for about a week then the machine gets upgraded.

Thanks

Hi guys,

Here's the update. I tried multiple ways to get the vista machine to accept more than 10 concurrent connections (it has a bunch of computers sharing one of its folders) including the method showed in the link ketchup79 posted. Nothing works.

"net config server" still shows a 10 connection limits

At the end, I brought in a spar NAS (qnap TS-212) and copied the folder over to the NAS. It took a while to copy but at the end, it was the right temporary fix. The Qnap TS-212 is rather slow so I am buying the enterprise model to help out with the speed incase I need something like this in the future.

Too bad, I would love to have the capability to have more than 10 concurrent connections on the old Vista machine.

In the XP days, you could up the limit from 10 to 100 or something...but it didn't do that well. There was a limit for a reason.
