Quick Tax Question

iamwiz82

Lifer
I am filing via the TurboTax Freedom project(online) and have come to the point of completion. My question is, what do I do with my W2s? Nowhere does it say where to send them, if at all. The only form I need to fill out is the 8453-OL. I just want to make sure that W2s, 1099s, etc are no longer required.

another question: If I had two different jobs within the same year, do I have to file my taxes separately?

Not that I am aware of Dari, last year when I filed my taxes, I had more than one W2 forms and all that was needed was the addition from all of the W2 to answer the tax questions correctly. Once that was done, I just filed once w/ the IRS.

If I am to add them up, the software should ask me for multiple employee IDs, right?

tax software lets you enter multiple W-2's and then adds the income and stuff onto the other forms

you don't add the info on the W-2's yourself, the software will do it for you

if you are doing it paper/pencil, then you have to add the W-2 info from multiple W-2's yourself and enter the totals on the paper form

Thanks a lot guys. This is really helping me out. Finally one more question. If you attended school in 2001 and qualify for the educational credits but couldn't get it because you worked for a short amount of time and got all your federal dollars back, can you roll-over those educational costs into your next tax return?
