another question: If I had two different jobs within the same year, do I have to file my taxes separately?
Not that I am aware of Dari, last year when I filed my taxes, I had more than one W2 forms and all that was needed was the addition from all of the W2 to answer the tax questions correctly. Once that was done, I just filed once w/ the IRS.
If I am to add them up, the software should ask me for multiple employee IDs, right?
tax software lets you enter multiple W-2's and then adds the income and stuff onto the other forms
you don't add the info on the W-2's yourself, the software will do it for you
if you are doing it paper/pencil, then you have to add the W-2 info from multiple W-2's yourself and enter the totals on the paper form
