Hey all,
this is a really dumb question, but do you need to reformat & reinstall the OS when you install a new CPU? (Same socket/motherboard)

I'm going from a 1.2ghz tbird to an athlon XP 2700+. Mobo is a Biostar M7NCD (nForce2), so its supported.

Ok...just wanted to make sure because like I know you're supposed to reformat when you replace a motherboard. Wouldn't want to install my new CPU and have my computer die, lol.
