Quick SSD Question

Hi, read the sticky up top but still have a question. Just finished putting together a new system and before I do anything to it, I wanted to know if I should be updating (flashing?) the new firmware on my SSD before installing windows 7 or after? SSD is 128GB Plextor m3. Any help is appreciated - thanks.

Before is safest. Always a chance of problems during flashing, data corruption, etc. A very non existent slim chance, but a chance none the less. It's possible to brick any device flashing firmware, better to take that chance before you waste time installing and configuring your software or risking data loss.

At the very least, the new firmware has a clean SSD to work with from day zero and isn't having to optimize or reorganize existing data managed by a less efficient previous firmware.
