Quick SSD question???

I am thinking of replacing my 160GB Boot drive ( WD Raptor ) with a SSD. Is it as simple as doing a backup of my boot drive, replacing the HD with the SSD and then restoring to the SSD or are there other issues that I am unaware of?

RU482 - Thanks for the quick info. I have been hot to replace my desktop but after looking at the performance numbers I think I am going to spend less money and buy a SSD and video card/monitor. I have replaced so many hard drives in my day that given a SSD is handled like a hard drive, this should be a no brainer.

Now to decide which SSD to buy and where.
