I was told yesterday that in Spanish adjectives happen after the word they modify so it made me wonder about their word ordering for some sentences.

What order would you write the words in Spanish for the English sentence "This blue car is very fast".

Would it be "Car this blue is fast very" or "Car blue this is very fast" or "This car blue fast very is" ect...

el carro azul is muy rapido

The car blue is very fast

That's my guess anyway. I haven't learned it since high school.

Ah thanks so it isn't what I originally expected it to be, which was "Car this blue is fast very"

Mis pantalones estan en fuego!

Spanish is fun, and ConstipatedVigilante is correct.

No, that's Yoda-talk. :p

I am sure some languages actually do talk like that. I know for sure that this order is common in world languages "Car blue this fast very", with the word is being dropped since it is implied by "this very".

Very is an adverb.

Yes, I assumed all modifiers go after the word they modified. So "very" modifies "fast" thus it would go after it, thus "fast very" which might be more common in world langages than "very fast"

Does anyone know of any European languages what would write the words in this order
"Car blue this is fast very" just trying to see now how common this form would be.
