Quick setup of bootp/remote booting?

Hi, I have a system w/ no removable media, no usb boot and need to get an OS on it. The pc supports boot from lan, but i haven't had any luck googling easy to understand instructions. Thanks for any advice.

If there is a Floppy you can make a Network Boot from Floppy.

Or take the Hard Drive out buy a USB enclosure, put the hard drive into the enclosure, plug it to a computer with USB, and do what you need to do.

Thanks but the hd is not removable, no floppy, no cdrom, no usb, only a wake on lan.

WOL is only a method to switch On the computer, it has nothing to do with Make it Bootable.

If the NIC in the computer is a regular NIC you might as well forget about the idea.

Good luck, network booting is a real PITA to setup properly on x86 boxes.

If the PC supports PXE you should be ok. What is the model? If you have a windows server you could use RIS but you probaly don't. If you want to install linux and already have a linux machine it's possible but for a windows install without RIS or ghost(or similiar) I think you are SOL.
