I think it's a piece of crap.. if you ask me..

they give you crap phones for free..

if you take the time out to go downtown.. you can get Erricson t28 or even the nokia 3390 for free with extra accessories..

I got my Nokia 3390 free with car charger + face plates + etc... all for signing a 1 year contract..

 
I agree...this is just an ATT scam to get you to use their free phone and plan.

they have had this promotion since who knows when.

not hot-but it shows how the internet can make you see something that really isn't there.

yeah, the phones are crap, if you don't mind em.. but hey, if someone wants it free and don't care about the phone and need it right away..
 
Yeah, typically places downtown give you pretty good offers. The place i got my cingular plan gave out free 3390's. They also had 8290's for 39 bucks or so.
 
You may get a free phone. (I have the data ready Ericson phone. Its sucks IMO. The battery is loose on it and can static my calls if I squeeze it just right.)

But AT&T's plans are overpriced.
 
why need to search?
every carrier has free phone offer.

att is not overpriced, the price is ok, it's for business people,
dual mode cellular service costs more is reasonable.
if you can't afford att or verizon, cdma1900 single mode (sprint) or gsm1900 single mode (cingular) is for you.
 
Anyone know when the "next-generation" of phones will be coming out?
I'm not necessarily looking for 3G ... just something that's usable with Sprint, that is different than the current breed of flip-phones.
