i have this scsi drive and i want to find a scsi controller card for it. nothing fancy for a run of the mill athlon. all i need to know is what stats i need to look for on newegg, about how much i need to spend, good brands, and maybe some links to some example cards that will work

I have one of these drive. Mine is a bit noisy. I would get an Adaptec controller.

thx. theres all kinds of numbers and stats that come with those cards at newegg tho, 32 64 50 68 fast wide ultra 160 320 dual 66 133

The drive is u320 meaning if you have one drive, the 320 bandwidth is available. If you get a u160, it'll run at the max of 160.

You would need a 68 pin controller, not 50pin and cable is expensive too.. I can give you a free cable with terminator, 5 position (1 controller) and 4 devices. Unless you already have it.. (PM me)

Also get a good brand, driver support are pretty important too.. LSI, adaptec (mentioned above) or Tekram (not bad..)
