I schedule mine to quick scan daily and full scan weekly. Basically a quick scan looks in common places for viruses/spyware and a full scan is everywhere.

When you do malware removal with MBAM they suggest running the quick scan before asking for help. http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=9573

I'm not sure why you all scan so much. It's much better to have a proactive security strategy rather than a reactive one. Scan downloads before you run them, use a limited user account, keep your OS and programs updated, use an anti-executable type (SRP, HIPS, Behavior Blocker) program. You can even try a sandbox or light virtualization applications.
