Quick Santa Cruz Question under XP

Got one of these on the way. 2 questions actually:

1
Does it like a particular PCI slot better than others?

2
Does it share IRQ's OK?


It just seems XP/Win2K loves to have hardware share IRQ's even though there are free ones, so I am anticipating that this card will share as well and wondering if there are any issues.

Everything in mine is on IRQ9. I've put the SC in various slots and XP has never had a problem with it.

The drivers can take several minutes to install (at least they did on my machine and there is also a warning about this on their web site). I made the mistake of thinking things were hung when I installed them and killed the installation at the end. Big mistake. Do not make the same one. My two cents. Working great besides that (had to do a re-install to fix the original mistake though). Oh yeah, make sure you use the latest drivers.

Thanks to both of you, especially the heads up on the drivers Big Al. Are you using the 4112 or the 4127 drivers?

hi one point if you have aways on internet conn pull the plug on it while you install the drivers , it will hang like crazy if it can find the internet. I have found that it will not insatall corectly if it can find the internet

Will do LordEdmond. I actually saw this in the readme file with the 4127 drivers.
