Hey all,

So working on optimizing router settings, and I have a couple of questions that puzzle me a bit, and I can't seem to find good answers.

1.) In the QoS section of my router, there's a section to specify Automatic Detection of Connection Type, or the Connection Type itself. Then underneath, it tells you what it detects (yes or no as to Detected xDSL or Other Frame Relay Network).

Here's the weird part. I'm on a cable modem (which should be detected as no from what the instructions say), but if I set it to Auto, it detects it as yes.

Should I leave it like this, or manually specify cable?

2.) For WISH settings, HTTP and Windows Media Center are checked by default, but Automatic is not. The info for Automatic indicates it's for making interactive traffic (VOIP for example) priority over things like downloads. So I'm not sure if checking it just adds more it prioritizes, or if it would actually inhibit the first two, if that makes any sense.

Thanks in advance for any help!
