A few holes were left behind, of course my name was the only one on the lease. And he was clueless as a jackoff, so I had to do the patching to make it look good.

Damn that guy.

Someone back in high school got mad at something. He punched a steel door. The door was fine. His hand was not. I'm glad I don't like to punch things when I get mad; heck, I don't even have a punch reflex.

were things building up all day? sometimes it just takes one minor event to set off an explosion after all the little things have been building up all day.
Don't know - she'd only been awake for like 20 minutes. I guess it's a bad way to start the day when a cat pukes on the rug...but, sheesh. Even I'm not that grumpy when I wake up. And at that stage, I'm not focused enough to hit or kick anything.

Its part of the job as a pet owner. Which is why I don't own pets. If it was never her choice to get the cat, then I can understand why is she is annoyed.
We've got two cats, and I've got a ball python.
Back before I was born, my parents had three cats. Only a few years before now, we adopted a sickly cat that was being kept in pathetic conditions. She really does like cats. She just hates when they actively seek rugs to barf on - yes, if they're on a hardwood floor (easy to clean), they'll sidestep until they find a carpeted area. THAT is a bit annoying. But hey, it's not easy to teach a cat where it's ok to throw up. At least they prefer the floor - if they're on a bed, they'll leap off and run away before doing anything.

Ya, that's pretty gross. It's sorta like that with my dog, only she throws up and eats it herself... makes me hate it when people repeatedly insist on letting dogs lick their faces because "they have the cleanest mouths in the world"... blech.
Who says that dogs have clean mouths? They rival human mouths in terms of fungus and bacteria. And they just stink, though our mouths would too if we never brushed our teeth.

Cat throws up on rug. Best way to deal with it? Scream loudly and yell at cats profusely, and kick a large hole in the wall, right?

As if the poor cat can help throwing up....

Yeah, really. It's getting warmer out, and though they're indoor cats, they know it, and they're shedding like mad. Constant brushings don't help enough it seems.

So instead of cat puke on a rug, now there's cat puke on the rug and a hole in the wall. Really productive.

I actually said something to that effect while she was yelling. I was sort of expecting a hole to be in my chest after that, but it didn't happen.

Unfortunately my girlfriend has similar tendencies...not necessarily with Cat puke...but just in general. Most of the time she is completely level headed, and then something small will set her off. It is rare, but when it happens she does not handle it well. It is the only thing we ever fight over.

Crap, I hope this isn't a chronic problem of women everywhere. I'm usually pretty laid back, and low-stress. There's not a whole lot worth stressing over (except violence, hatred, racism....the big stuff); hairballs on the rug is a very minor issue. Thing is, when other people get stressed out, I start to get edgy. (And when she starts screaming like this, I start to shake all over, and can't stop for like an hour.) It's like I absorb other people's emotions sometimes.

When I find cat vomit on the floor, I break out the liquid nitrogen and pour it on. Freezes up, then you can just break it with a hammer and sweep it up. In a pinch, a well focussed CO2 extingusher will work.

My cat Jasmine is a binge eater.... she'll eat and eat until she throws up.. and then my other cat, LS for short, comes over and eats what Jasmine just threw up.. When thats all said and done Jasmine goes back to eating. Its quite disgusting.

Yeah. I have the same arrangement with my two cats. Yuck! :disgust:

I think changing their food to something that "Fatty" doesn't really care for has helped a lot. Unfortunately, I don't think the little one likes the new food much either, and she does not need to lose any weight. I'll need to keep monitoring the situation, lest the skinny kitty disappear!

I'd just clean it up. But that's just me. I guess I just don't get why people get so pissed off over comparatively minor things. Yeah well.
Her temper's not bad often, but when it goes, there's not much to stop it.

Ok, ranting complete. Thanks for tolerating.

Move out on your own as soon as possible.
