Quick RAM slot question

I got this motherboard from this guy and I don't know what he was doing, but a bunch of capacitors are bent over and the tabs on the first DDR RAM slot are basically ripped out. The board is an MSI KT4VL (running it with a Barton 2500+). I want to put a 512 MB stick of DDR333/PC2700 in the board... I figure I'll just plug it into slot 2. Is that okay? Would it create any problems or affect performance?

No, it should be fine.
Key word: should.
I wouldn't trust such a board, but the chances anything will fry are slim, at worst.
