Just a quick question,

So currently, all subdomains for the corperate intranet are setup in IE manually.

For example. abc.hp.net def.hp.net etc.

Is there any security risk by moving to a rule that says http://*.hp.net and https://*.hp.net?

The hp.net is not accessible externally, its just a internal intranet.
