Im looking for a budget card to carry me over til dx10. Newegg isnt telling me, so my question is... does the evga 7600 gs support SM 3?


Other questions:
What kind of results can i expect in HL2 with max settings?
Does it take a big hit from AA?
And will i have to volt mod this puppy to maximize potential?
And will a athlon 64 3000+ oced to 2000 mhz and 1 gig of ram bottleneck this?

expect full settings in HL2 (depends on resolution however and amount of AA, because of the HDR) you wont be bottlenecked by it.. but 2 gb can be very helpful

go for a 7600GT and you wont be dissapointed where you may be with a 7600GS
