I have a heatsink on the memory on my GPU, but how do I keep it there?

Peel cover off thermal tape, apply to ram, hold and push for a few seconds, keep pushing, almost there, congrats, you now have a ram sink

And if it donesn't have tape you might want to buy some for it.
