I have an Athlon XP Barton 2800+ (12.5x166) and 1 gig of Corsair XMS (pc-3200) should I be running my CPU at 166Mhz and my RAM at 200Mhz, or would you recommend dropping the RAM down to 166 for 1:1? Thanks.

Everything I have read about this says to run cpu and ram in sync.

CPU 166, ram 166

cpu 133. ram 133 etc.

Why don't you overclock the cpu to 200mhz fsb, or as high as you can stably get it? Even better if it has an unlocked multiplier and you can downclock it. You probably wouldn't be able to get a 200mhz fsb with a 12.5 multiplier though. Anyhow, 1:1 offers the best performance.

i think 1:1 will give you the best performance..

my friend has a 2500 barton and at first he used ddr400...then i told him to try ddr333 and it gave him about 50 cpu score bonus in aquamark3...
