Quick question

Just wondering, I'm about to get my parts to build my computer and i was reading zebo's overclock guide and it recommends putting the vcore to 1.45v instead of the X2 +3800's natural 1.35-1.40v. How much would this 0.1-0.05v change effect the lifespan of my CPU? I mean, if its 3-4 years from now i really don't care; I'll probably be buying a new computer

There is a lot of speculation. I think the general consensus is that the higher loads and subsequent heat do shorten the chip life, but as you allude, by the time it fails you'll probably be past ready for an upgrade.

As long as you don't go excessive on the vcore and run at super high temps, your cpu will always outlive it's usefullness. I have overclocked every cpu I have owned, and never had one die.
