Quick question..

I'm about to order components to upgrade to Socket 939, PCIe gfx, and SATA. I have an old Antec 1040SX case with 400W power supply that I bought about 3.5 years ago. Do I need to buy a new PSU or are the power connectors still the same? If so, what should I be looking for in the new PSU?

You will probably want to buy a new 24 pin PS, but its not necessary. Look at "the ultimate "do i need a 24pin PSU ?" thread" at the top of the General Hardware forums.

Thanks. I think I'll pick up a new one just in case. This system fried about a year ago and I didn't have the capabilities to test whether the PSU, mobo, or CPU was at fault. I figure as long as I'm replacing the last two, I may as well throw in a new PSU just to save myself some potential headaches, especially if there's new pinouts.
