Hello, I am a newbie when it comes to building computer, but I was able to build two computers this past week just by reading from computer forums, below are the specs: I also have a few questions too...

Computer #1, a Gaming Rig

Asus P4C800-E
3.2 C (800mhz), Made in Phillipines
Xaser III Super Tower, V1000D Series, Blue Color exterior,
1 GB of TwinX Corsair DDR-PC4400 (512MB x 2) version 1.1
ATI 9800XT Pro
Vga Silencer
2 x 74GB WD Raptor Raid 0
2 x 250GB of Western Digital for backup (mostly animation)
Antec 550W True Power PSU
Digital Doc 5
Plexor 8x DVD Writer
Air Cool with Zalman 7000Cu-copper sink, 7 case fan, and 2 PSU fans,

The max FSB that I can run for this is around 245-247FSB,
currently I put it at 230FSB, running 1:1 ratio, with the factory 3-4-4-8 setting, been running fine for 48+ hrs. at
1.550Vcore, 2.85Vddimm, 1.70Vagp

My question here is I can't past the 247FSB barrier, I did some research and found one review, here is the site
(www.hightekpc.com/reviews/xms4400/xms44002.html), the reviewer could not set his at 250FSB and his CPU was a 2.6Ghz, I assume the multiplier for a 2.6ghz and 3.2ghz are different, not sure, but mine are at 16x according the CPU-Z. It advertised at 275FSB, I know it will be hard to get there without water cooling system, but if I can get around 260-265, I will be happy to keep it. So my point here is should I keep the pair of RAMs or should I return it and downgrade to the pc4000 or 4200. I know that these rams just been out for a few weeks, so not so much info about it. If anyone having a 3.2Ghz processor that runs 1:1 ratio and can pass 250FSB barrier please let me know, and what type of memory did you used. Also your specs like the voltage and manual setting, PAT enable or auto....don't forget to include your cooling solutions.

Computer #2, for applications, school, and fserve

Asus P4C800-E
2.8 C (800mhz), Made in Phillipines
Xaser III Super Tower, V2000D Series, Silver Aluminum Color exterior,
1 GB of TwinX Corsair DDR-PC3200LL (512MB x 2) version 1.2
ATI 9800 Pro
2 x 120GB S-ATA Seagate Raid 0
2 x 250GB WD for downloading stuffs
2 x 160GB WD for backing up stuffs
Enermax 475W Noisetaker
Sony 8x DVD Writer
Air Cool with Zalman 7000Cu-copper sink, 7 case fan, and 2 PSU fans,

Currently running at 1:1 ratio, 213FSB, Vcore-1.550v, Vdimm-2.75V, Agp-1.70, Performance-Auto
Agp/PCI 66.66/33.33, the best i can do is 2-2-3-5-4, Pat enable, Infinite, 64uSec
running without error on Memtest

I also run it at 5:4 ratio, 245FSB max, 2-2-3-5-4, 1.550v, 2.85v, 1.70v, Pat enable, Infinite, 64uSec, Performance-Auto

the result of the 3D mark, sandra, 3d SE, and Aqua, running 5:4 ratio were better, but comparing these specs to jhites, I'm very embarrased,(

Anyone who has the same rig as me, and has higher FSB running at the same speed, please help, I unplug the power for the 4 Hardrive, 2 x 250GB and 2 x 160GB, same result, so is not the PSU, it provide plenty of power, though I am thinking of upgrading to Enermax 701W noisetaker, maybe because of version 1.2 RAM? not BH-5???

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Welcome to Anandtech forums!

Nothing to say on the topic - other than that you should try a bit harder and generate a more attracting headline than "quick question". Say something there that attracts people who might know!
