Should help a little, I wouldn't make the jump just because of that though.

I really don't see how HDTV is so much better then SDTV. I've always though HDTV was just at a higher resolution and refreshed at 60 instead of 30.

The primary advantage for HDTV vs. SDTV with respect to an Xbox 360 or any video game console that supports HDTV is progressive scan output. SD video is interlace... that is to say, half the screen is drawn and then the other half is drawn. This usually is imperceptable to the naked eye... unless there's a lot of fast motion... like in video games.

Click here for a decent explanation of how this works...

Exactly...heck the xbox360 plug just switch from SD and HD and you will see the difference pretty easily..You would have to be blind or playing on a POS TV not to notice...I have a55" Hitachi 1366x768 HDTV...I also ran it on my LCD 27" WS montior at 1280x768 res

That's exactly why it's better. The difference is night and day. Try playing a game at 800x600 then playing at 1600x1200, it's about the same jump in detail\sharpness.
