why wouldn't it?

the bigger question is why the hell you'd spend $500 on a video card for a s939 system.

There's a couple of reasons why it might not. I installed it yesterday and before I used the installation CD I got a message from Windows saying that since I had installed new hardware, it made some changes that required a reboot, so I rebooted, and got a Blue Screen. After a few hours with Microsoft (they only made matters worse, I decided to clean out the box, get the dust out and reinstall the old driver. That works now, but I'm not sure if the blue screen was caused by the new card, or just some stupid windows issue.

And the reason I got this card is so that, for my next upgrade, I can get a new mobo. I upgrade one piece at a time.

get the latest driver from nvidia's website. download it to your desktop and install it in safe mode. there is no reason why the card will not work in your system. are you upgrading from an ATI card? uninstall those drivers.

Yes, I am getting rid of a Radeon x1900xtx. You are the second person that's suggested that I remove those drivers first. I think that's what I'll try.

The next question is what power supply are you using, exactly? (By exactly, I mean the exact brand and model of it.)

When you're going from nVidia to ATI and vice-versa it's better to reformat and reinstall Windows and everything else. I know it's a pain but sometimes it just has to be done.
