quick question: will tbred B 1700XP be unlocked with my MSI KT3 ultra?

Will I be able to access the 11+ multiplyers automatically? Or is this with nForce 2 boards only?

Nforce2 only i believe.
I know for sure the MSI KT3 Ultra doesnt unlock them.
(I have an MSI KT3 Ultra)

so even tho the cpu comes unlocked Im still not able to adjust the multiplyer? The board does have multiplyer adjustments....

I can't confirm whether or not my 8k3a unlocks the lower multipliers of my TB 1700XP. I went a head and did the wire trick before I installed mine just to save time in case I couldn't overclock the processor. Running at 10x166mhz with default voltages right now. Seems to work just fine. I may try higher at a later time. The newer 1700XP's seem to be great overclockers.

Im running a Athlon 1900xp in my MSI KT3 Ultra.
And an Athlon 2000xp in my Epox 8RDA+. (nforce2)
Neither are Tbreds.

So im not EXACTLY sure about your Tbred B 1700xp.

I assumed the cpu is multiplier locked, cuz your subject asked if the KT3 Ultra would Unlock it.
Which it won't unlock a locked multiplier cpu.

The KT3 Ultra does support multiplier adjustments.

So, i guess this is just a bump hoping someone with the KT3 Ultra/Tbred combo can answer your question 4 sure.

I have a xp1700 tbred b and a msi kt3 ultra 2 and it is unlocked for me. accept it only goes to up to 12.5 You have the choice for 14x and 15x but when you set it to those it goes back to 5x and 6x or somewhere around that. hope that helps man.

I heard only the higher speed Tbreds will be unlocked. Any truth to this?
