Im, going to be putting these in a file server. which one would you get?

Heat is not relevent. Prepare the PC for the heat it will generate. Get the HDD with the highest cache availble and highest arial density. Then check general hardware forum for better responses.

I would for sure get the WD over the Maxtor.
